IT/Computer professional specialized in developing web applications using Laravel Framework within PHP programming language. Opportunity may be provided for the beginner of the PHP Laravel developer. Some of the duties include:

1. Maintaining and updating company webpages developed on PHP Larvarel and Joomla platforms.
2. Developing, recording and maintaining cutting edge web-based PHP applications.
3. Building or maintaining innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborating with the User Experience (UX) teams.
4. Keeping abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
5. Previous working experience as a PHP Laravel, Joomla, Worldpress developer is an asset but not required.

Academic qualifications:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field or diploma in computer programing or related field.
Current students (pursuing Certificate, Diploma or Aadvance diploma programs), interested in it and looking for a short-term Co-op opportunity, are also welcome to apply.

Other Skills:

  • A knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5.0 PHP Framework is an asset.
  • Hands on experience with SQL schema design is an asset.

Overview:

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media Display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies
  • Update and design company’s Website: Joomla, World press or CMC
  • Web layout, web banners, email creative and promotional material using of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, XD and Sketch.
  • Develop, analyze, debug and maintain company website
  • Optimize website content
  • Understand, review and recommend emerging web design technologies
  • Must be able to work individually and in a team.
  • Consult with the director and team members to develop and document Website requirements
  • Create and optimize content for Website using a variety of graphics, database, animation and other software.

Education:

  • Minimum High School Graduate.
  • A diploma or degree in marketing or a related field is preferable.

Other:

  • Some experience working in digital marketing is an asset
  • Some experience in leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns is an asset
  • Some experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Net Insight, Omniture, Web Trends)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas) is an asset

Book Keeper and Payroll Staff

Having the following background is an asset but not necessary

  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Prepare invoices and issue invoices to customers
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
  • Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
  • Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Maintain the petty cash fund
  • Issue financial statements
  • Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
  • Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Maintain the annual budget
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Process payroll in a timely manner
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Follow accounting policies and procedures

Background Education in accounting is an asset but not necessary. Training will be provided.

  • Web layout, web banners, email creative and promotional material using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, XD, and Sketch.

  • Understand, review and recommend emerging web design technologies
  • Must be able to work individually and in a team.
  • Consult with the director and team members to develop and document Website requirements
  • Create and optimize content for Website using a variety of graphics, database, animation, and other software.

Other:

  • Minimum high school graduate with some web design experience will be an asset.
  • Experienced with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & Sketch (a portfolio of graphic design work is an asset)
  • 1+ years of work experience in an intermediate level Web Design role
  • Strong communication skills are written and verbal
  • Understanding of digital marketing, sales, and technology
  • Experience in eCommerce is a plus
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects while upholding deadline
